Qatar Real Estate Forum 2026 Unveils New Identity Ahead of Fourth Edition

Qatar’s real estate transactions rose 5.84% in the first half of 2026 to QAR 10.69 billion, despite regional geopolitical challenges.

The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) has unveiled the new identity of the Qatar Real Estate Forum 2026, as preparations are completed for the fourth edition of the event. Held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the forum will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from October 27 to 29, 2026, alongside Cityscape Qatar.

H.E. Mohammed bin Hassan Al Maliki, Chairman of Aqarat, said the fourth edition comes at a time of accelerating geopolitical and economic developments regionally and globally, underscoring the importance of discussions on the future of the real estate sector and its ability to adapt to changing conditions.

He noted that Qatar’s real estate sector has demonstrated resilience in navigating regional developments, supported by an improving business and investment environment and the continued development of regulatory and legislative frameworks. These factors are contributing to stronger market performance and greater investor confidence.

The forum will bring together government leaders, developers, investors, policymakers and senior decision-makers to examine key factors shaping the future of the real estate sector, assess emerging challenges and opportunities, and explore practical pathways to support market growth and attract domestic and international investment.

The forum’s new identity reflects the rapid transformation of Qatar’s real estate sector toward a more transparent, regulated and investment-friendly environment. It also highlights the forum’s focus on creating a more impactful dialogue, connecting strategic visions with practical solutions, and promoting innovation, collaboration and emerging investment opportunities.

According to data from the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice, the value of real estate transactions in Qatar increased by 5.84% in the first half of 2026, reaching QAR 10.69 billion, compared with approximately QAR 10.1 billion during the same period last year. The increase reflects continued market activity despite regional and global challenges.

Qatar’s real estate investment appeal is supported by several factors, including economic stability, advanced infrastructure and a clear regulatory framework governing property ownership and usufruct rights for non-Qataris. The framework allows freehold ownership in designated areas, as well as usufruct rights for periods of up to 99 years in other areas.

The forum is expected to address key issues shaping the future of Qatar’s real estate market, including regulatory and investment developments, market trends, innovation, and cooperation between the public and private sectors in supporting real estate development.

As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration, Aqarat has entered into a strategic partnership with Cityscape Qatar to support the country’s real estate investment environment, enhance governance and transparency, and attract capital through joint events and platforms.

The fourth Qatar Real Estate Forum will take place alongside Cityscape Qatar at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from October 27 to 29, 2026.
