Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister Inaugurates the Region’s First Quantum Computing Conference

Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Saud Abdulrahman Al Thani, inaugurated the Quantum Computing Conference today, Tuesday, marking its first edition in the region.

The conference is considered the premier platform for understanding the transformative impact of quantum computing technology, aiming to explore the latest advancements and applications of quantum computing worldwide to drive innovation and prosperity, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense.

The event gathers over 200 experts in quantum computing from around the globe, who will delve into the development of Qatar’s infrastructure in sectors such as healthcare, finance, telecommunications, transportation, and industries across the Gulf region.
