Qatar Advances in the 2026 Global Real Estate Transparency Index

Qatar ranks among the world’s top 10 most improved markets in real estate transparency in 2026.

The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) announced that Qatar has advanced in the JLL Global Real Estate Transparency Index (GRETI 2026), ranking 63rd out of 88 global markets in 2026, compared with 68th in 2024.

The Authority noted that the progress reflects a notable improvement in the availability and transparency of real estate data, alongside Qatar’s stronger regional position among Gulf markets. Qatar was also ranked among the top 10 most improved markets globally in 2026.

Aqarat reaffirmed Qatar’s continued efforts to develop the regulatory environment, enhance transparency, and build a more efficient real estate ecosystem. These efforts contribute to strengthening investor confidence, increasing the attractiveness of the real estate market, and supporting the sector’s sustainable growth.

The JLL Global Real Estate Transparency Index (GRETI) is a key reference for investors, policymakers, and financial institutions worldwide, measuring transparency, data availability, and risk levels across real estate markets.
