Qatar Society of Engineers Launches Qatar Engineering Training Academy to Enhance National Talent
The Qatar Society of Engineers has launched the Qatar Engineering Training Academy, its specialized arm for professional training and development, in a strategic move aimed at enhancing the capabilities of national engineering talents and preparing them for future challenges.
The academy seeks to establish an integrated framework for professional training by offering specialized programs that develop engineering, technical, and managerial skills in line with the rapid advancements across various engineering sectors.
Engineer Amna Mohammed Al Naama, Chairperson of the Qatar Society of Engineers, stated that the launch marks an important step toward investing in human capital. She noted that the academy will provide advanced professional programs aligned with labor market needs and Qatar’s development priorities.
She added that the academy will offer training pathways that combine theoretical and practical aspects to strengthen engineers’ technical, leadership, and managerial competencies, enabling them to contribute effectively to major national projects and adapt to the ongoing digital transformation within the engineering sector.
The academy’s training plan includes diploma and professional programs in Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D printing, project management, asset and facility management, sustainability and green engineering, as well as artificial intelligence and smart systems applications in engineering.
The academy also aims to establish partnerships with academic institutions and specialized training organizations locally and internationally to deliver high-quality programs based on global best practices, helping prepare a new generation of engineers capable of shaping the future and supporting Qatar National Vision objectives.
