Ministry of Transport Completes Over 7,700 Maritime Service Transactions in Q2 2026

Maritime Transport Affairs completed around 7,710 service transactions in just three months, covering maritime personnel, vessels, and foreign ships operating in Qatari waters.

Qatar's Ministry of Transport completed approximately 7,710 maritime service transactions during the second quarter of 2026, reflecting its ongoing efforts to enhance maritime services and improve operational efficiency across the sector.

The ministry stated that the completed services included issuing and approving competency certificates for marine officers and engineers, approving safe manning certificates, as well as providing maritime vessel services such as registration, renewal, and ownership transfer.

The Maritime Transport Affairs Department also continued delivering services to foreign vessels operating in Qatari waters, including license renewals and amendments, supporting efficient maritime operations and improving service quality.
