Ashghal Continues Development of Qatar Aeronautical Academy with Advanced Training Facilities
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) continues to implement the development project for the Qatar Aeronautical Academy in Ras Abu Abboud, with the project taking shape on the ground. The development aims to provide an advanced educational and training environment that meets the latest standards in the aviation sector.
The project includes design and construction works across the academy campus, along with several specialized facilities, including a flight operations and pilot training building and an air traffic control and airport operations simulation building, providing students and trainees with advanced facilities for practical training and simulation.
The works also include the construction of a hangar for the aircraft support services unit at Doha International Airport, as well as the development and expansion of student accommodation facilities and improvements to residential amenities.
The project also incorporates the GSAS global sustainability standards, focusing on improving energy and water efficiency, enhancing indoor environmental quality, using more sustainable materials, and implementing smart solutions to reduce environmental impact and improve the long-term operational efficiency of the facilities.
The development forms part of Ashghal’s efforts to enhance Qatar’s educational and training infrastructure, support the development of national talent, and strengthen the aviation sector’s readiness to keep pace with global advancements.
