The Public Works Authority Ashghal announced a temporary closure lasting eight hours at Bani Hajer Intersection, affecting traffic coming from Al Shahama Street towards Dukhan, as well as vehicles traveling from Khalifa Street to Al Shahama Street. The closure will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 2:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

Ashghal explained that during the closure period, motorists coming from Doha via Khalifa Street towards Bani Hajer should use the bridge leading to New Rayyan Road, make a U-turn at Al Shafi Intersection, and then proceed through the Bani Hajer Intersection underpass.

The authority also advised road users traveling from Al Shahama Street towards Dukhan to continue through the Bani Hajer underpass, use Al Shafi Intersection on New Rayyan Road, make a U-turn, and then resume their route towards Dukhan.
