QatarEnergy expands its global footprint with a 17-year LNG supply deal with India.

QatarEnergy has signed a 17-year Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) to supply up to 1 million tons per year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) starting from 2026.

His Excellency Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, stated that the agreement further strengthens the company’s valued partnership with India and underscores Qatar’s continued commitment to meeting the country’s growing energy needs.

He said: “We are pleased to expand our partnership with GSPC through this long-term agreement, which highlights our dedication to providing reliable LNG supplies that support India’s vision for energy security and a cleaner energy future.”

This new SPA builds on the long-term relationship established between the two sides in 2019, reaffirming their mutual trust and shared vision for a sustainable global energy future.
