Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, announced the launch of the Building Permit Issuance System powered by Artificial Intelligence at the Ministry of Municipality, emphasizing that the initiative marks a significant step in the country’s digital transformation journey.

In a post on X, His Excellency described the system as a pioneering move that represents the beginning of a national path toward expanding the use of AI technologies across various government sectors to accelerate procedures and enhance service quality, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Mr. Darwish Yousef Fakhroo, Head of the Technical Studies Section at the Ministry, revealed that the new AI-powered building permit system is the first of its kind globally, highlighting its role in greatly facilitating the work of consultants and reviewers.

He added that the initiative aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, supporting the economic objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
