Oil prices rise amid concerns over supply disruptions

Oil prices continued their upward trend today, extending gains for the eighth consecutive session, amid reports of supply disruptions in the Middle East, one of the world’s key oil-producing regions.
Brent crude futures for June delivery rose by 52 cents, or 0.47%, reaching $111.78 per barrel.
Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for June delivery increased by 57 cents, or 0.57%, to $100.50 per barrel, following a strong 3.7% gain in the previous session.
