Old Doha Port has announced the completion of preparations for the inaugural edition of the Marine Fishing Exhibition, set to launch this Wednesday. The event will feature participation from more than 30 local and regional brands specializing in marine fishing.
According to a statement issued today, the four-day exhibition will serve as a comprehensive platform showcasing Qatar’s rich maritime heritage through a modern lens, combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced fishing technologies. The event will include interactive activities, live artistic performances, and exciting competitions as part of the fishing tournament held alongside the exhibition.
The exhibition will present the latest innovations in fishing equipment side-by-side with traditional tools and customs that have shaped the identity of the industry for generations.
Engineer Mohammed Abdullah Al Mulla, CEO of Old Doha Port, expressed his hope that the exhibition will become an annual destination for sea lovers, noting that visitors will find everything they need for fishing each year.
He added that with the participation of top local organizations, the exhibition provides a dedicated space catering to all types of fishing enthusiasts—from seasoned professionals to adventure seekers—reflecting a blend of authenticity and modernity. It also highlights the deep-rooted role of maritime heritage as a cultural pillar in Qatari society.
The exhibition is open to the public daily from 4 PM to 9 PM, offering free entry and a family-friendly environment that welcomes fishing fans, marine explorers, and sea enthusiasts. It will feature prominent exhibitors from the marine fishing industry.
