Invest Qatar Launches New Venture Capital Feature to Connect Startups with Investment Funds

The new Venture Capital feature provides startups with direct access to funding, expertise, and investment networks.

The Investment Promotion Agency, in cooperation with the Qatar Investment Authority, has launched a new "Venture Capital" feature on the Invest Qatar Portal to facilitate startups' access to funding opportunities and investment resources available in the country.

The agency stated that the initiative supports Qatar's efforts to strengthen its startup ecosystem and innovation landscape while reinforcing its position as a regional hub for entrepreneurship, technology, and future-focused industries.

The new feature provides a unified platform where startups can explore venture capital funding opportunities, apply easily, and review target sectors and eligibility criteria of participating funds. Several of these funds are backed by the Qatar Investment Authority's $3 billion Fund of Funds program.

In addition, the feature offers access to support programs and value-added services, allowing entrepreneurs to present their investment proposals directly to fund managers, thereby improving their chances of securing funding for growth and expansion.

The first phase includes a growing network of venture capital partners supported by the Qatar Investment Authority, aiming to build an integrated ecosystem that empowers startups and strengthens Qatar's position as a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Hamad Rashid Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of Strategy at the Investment Promotion Agency, said the new feature represents a strategic step toward supporting entrepreneurs and providing them with access to funding, expertise, and networks needed to grow and compete globally in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
