Qatar Rail: Doha Metro transports 292 million passengers over seven years
Qatar Rail announced the seventh anniversary of Doha Metro operations, revealing that the network has transported nearly 292 million passengers since its launch, reflecting the continuous development of public transportation in Qatar.
The company stated that the Doha Metro network includes 37 stations connecting key destinations and vital areas across the country, contributing to easier mobility and reduced travel times.
Operational performance indicators, including service availability, trip punctuality, and schedule accuracy, reached an impressive 99.83%, while customer satisfaction recorded 99.90%, highlighting the quality and efficiency of the services provided.
Qatar Rail also emphasized the metro’s role in supporting more than 40 major events hosted by the country by providing safe and efficient transportation solutions for visitors and crowds.
The company noted that 10 metro stations offer the “Metro Express” service, while “Metrolink” buses operate across 32 stations through 70 routes, enhancing integration within the public transport system and improving accessibility across various areas.
Qatar Rail reaffirmed its commitment to further developing transport networks, strengthening sustainability and innovation, and supporting the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
