Ministry of Environment and Climate Change launches new digital services to support digital transformation
Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has launched a new package of digital services during the first quarter of the year to simplify procedures, enhance service quality for individuals and businesses, and accelerate transaction processing through digital channels.
The package includes 29 online services available through the ministry’s official website, in addition to 57 services offered via the “Beeah” mobile application, as part of the ministry’s efforts to advance digital transformation and improve customer experience.
The newly launched services cover several sectors, including radiation protection services such as issuing and renewing licenses for radioactive materials and radiation devices, as well as hazardous waste services, environmental permits, wildlife development services, and natural reserve management.
The ministry also introduced electronic services related to natural reserves, including visit and photography permits, whale shark and dugong viewing permits, and land lease services for environmental and temporary activities.
Mr. Yousef Ibrahim Al Hamar, Assistant Undersecretary for Environmental Affairs, stated that the initiative is part of the ministry’s efforts to modernize environmental services and simplify procedures in line with Qatar’s digital transformation strategy and the goal of improving government service efficiency.
He added that the new services help streamline online applications and follow-up procedures while reducing the need for in-person visits and maintaining accurate regulatory standards.
