12 years of achievement… Ashghal leads one of Qatar’s largest Ashghal launches major strategic projects reinforcing Qatar National Vision 2030

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has reaffirmed its leading role in transforming Qatar’s infrastructure, marking 12 years of continuous achievements that have reshaped road networks, drainage systems, public buildings, green spaces, and sustainable transport, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Between 2013 and the second quarter of 2025, Ashghal delivered major infrastructure projects that supported urban and economic growth across the country, in close cooperation with government entities and the private sector, with a strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

Ashghal announced a new five-year plan valued at more than QAR 81 billion, covering strategic projects in roads, drainage networks, and public buildings, in addition to launching a strategic outfall project for stormwater drainage in northern and southern Doha. The authority also provided extensive support to the contracting sector, amounting to nearly QAR 21 billion.

In sustainability efforts, Ashghal implemented a comprehensive infrastructure to support electric transportation, including 1,250 electric charging units for buses, expanded green spaces, pedestrian and cycling networks, and large-scale recycling initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.

The authority also achieved remarkable progress in national workforce development, with Qatarization rates exceeding 320%, driven by accredited local and international training programs that have developed highly skilled national talents capable of managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
