Al Asmakh Real Estate Development Company has confirmed that Qatar has made significant progress in executing infrastructure projects across several areas in the northern region of the country, contributing to a boost in the real estate sector and increasing the investment appeal of these areas.
According to the company’s report, the development efforts have focused on regions such as North and East Al Kheesa, Al Kharaitiyat and Izghawa, Al Ab and Al Laabib, West Simaisma, Umm Salal Mohammed, West Umm Salal Ali, Al Aqda, Al Heedan, Al Khor, and other surrounding villages. These projects include the construction of modern road networks that improve accessibility to various service and commercial facilities.
The report noted that over 5,570 residential plots have been served through ongoing infrastructure projects, including:
1,957 plots in Al Ab and Al Laabib
1,437 plots in Al Kharaitiyat and Izghawa
648 plots in North and East Al Kheesa
610 plots in Al Aqda, Al Heedan, and Al Khor
539 plots in West Simaisma
222 plots in West Umm Salal Ali, Umm Al Abeeriyah, South Umm Al Amad, and North Bu Fasseela
157 plots in Umm Salal Mohammed
The projects have included the development of internal roads, pedestrian and bicycle lanes, street lighting, directional signage, and the construction and upgrading of essential infrastructure services, such as sewage networks, stormwater and groundwater drainage, treated water pipelines, electricity and water supply lines, and other utilities.
The report emphasized that these initiatives are directly revitalizing the real estate sector in Northern Qatar, particularly in areas undergoing development. They are expected to increase demand, boost construction activity, influence land prices positively, and lead to the creation of new residential zones, ultimately enhancing the performance of real estate developers and supporting the overall growth of the property market in Qatar.
