QatarEnergy has awarded a contract for the provision of coring equipment and services to support its onshore and offshore drilling operations in Qatar.
The contract was awarded to Halliburton Worldwide Limited with a value of approximately QAR 7 million, to supply specialized equipment and services required for coring operations in vertical, directional, and sidetrack wells.
The scope of work includes providing equipment, specialized personnel, supervision, testing, maintenance, transportation, and the preservation and delivery of core samples to other contractors within Qatar for analysis.
The contract also covers materials, consumables, Qatar-based support facilities, and the preparation of technical reports and documentation related to the operations.
The contract duration is 66 months, including six months for initial mobilization, starting on April 1, 2026, and scheduled to be completed by September 30, 2031.
