QatarEnergy announced a new hydrocarbon discovery in the Republic of the Congo, as a partner in TotalEnergies EP Congo.

The discovery was made in the MHNM-6 NFW well within the Moho G formation, part of the offshore Moho exploration and production license. QatarEnergy holds a 15% stake in the operating company, while TotalEnergies holds the majority share alongside other partners.

In this context, Saad bin Sherida Al-Kaabi stated that the discovery strengthens the company’s growing international portfolio, expressing optimism about working with partners to develop these promising resources.

Drilling results revealed a hydrocarbon column of حوالي 160 meters within high-quality reservoirs, with data and samples collected to support future field development plans.
