Qatar Expands International Partnerships in the Transport Sector with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Morocco, Brunei, and Sierra Leone


Minister of Transport Holds Bilateral Meetings on the Sidelines of the ICAO Facilitation Conference

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Transport, held a series of bilateral meetings with several counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries on the sidelines of the ICAO Facilitation Conference (FALC 2025), which kicked off yesterday in Doha.

H.E. met separately with Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and H.E. Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in the State of Kuwait. The meetings focused on discussing ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in civil aviation services and activities and exploring areas for further development.

Additionally, H.E. the Minister held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Abdel Samad Qayyouh, Minister of Transport and Logistics in the Kingdom of Morocco. The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the transportation sector, including logistics services, and explored opportunities to expand and strengthen ties.

In another meeting, H.E. met with H.E. Mr. Mohamed Salehin Asbar, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Transport at the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Brunei Darussalam. The meeting addressed areas of cooperation in transportation and ways to foster mutual collaboration.

H.E. also held talks with H.E. Mr. Alhaji Fanday Turay, Minister of Transport and Aviation in the Republic of Sierra Leone. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the transport sector, particularly in training personnel in the field of civil aviation.

These meetings reflect Qatar's commitment to strengthening international partnerships and advancing bilateral cooperation in transportation, contributing to sustainable development at both regional and global levels.
