Qatar Stock Exchange opens lower, dropping 86.5 points in early trading
The index declined under pressure from most sectors, led by banking and transport, despite modest gains in insurance and telecommunications.

The Qatar Stock Exchange index declined at the start of today’s trading, falling by 0.84%, losing 86.52 points to reach 10,205 points compared to the previous session’s close, pressured by negative performance across several sectors.

Data showed positive performance in the insurance and telecommunications sectors, which rose by 0.18% and 0.10% respectively. In contrast, multiple sectors recorded declines, led by banking and financial services (-1.09%) and transportation (-2.14%), along with drops in industrial, real estate, and consumer goods and services sectors.

As of 10:00 AM, trading value reached approximately QAR 162.859 million, with 54.223 million shares traded across 9,045 transactions.
