On the sidelines of the Web Summit in Qatar, Iman Al-Kuwari, Digital Innovation Director at Qatar’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, told CNBC Arabia that AI technology is expected to generate around $340 million in 2025, and the technology sector aims to contribute 4% to Qatar’s GDP by 2030.
Al-Kuwari added that the business incubator program includes 100 companies, each receiving support worth QAR 400,000. She also noted that the last 25 companies to join the "TASMU" accelerator achieved sales of approximately QAR 430 million and secured funding of QAR 270 million.
