Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) continues its efforts to safeguard and sustain water resources through collaboration with international agencies and national institutions, utilizing advanced scientific techniques to study groundwater. These efforts focus on identifying water sources and quality, detecting potential contaminants, and implementing practical plans to ensure long-term sustainability, according to a post shared on its official “X” platform.
In line with these initiatives, Kahramaa organized a training workshop last July in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which focused on the principles and applications of isotope hydrology. This scientific method is recognized globally as one of the most effective tools for determining the sources and age of groundwater.
