QatarEnergy LNG and Milaha Celebrate Three Years of Incident-Free Operations
QatarEnergy LNG, in collaboration with Qatar Navigation Company (Milaha), celebrated a major achievement—completing three years of operations without any lost-time incidents under their contract to provide logistical support services for QatarEnergy LNG’s coastal base operations in Ras Laffan (Southern Operations).
Over the past three years, Milaha has successfully conducted nearly one million safe lifting operations, transporting over 4.5 million tons of materials. The company has also completed more than 4 million work hours without any lost-time incidents, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and reinforcing Milaha’s reputation as a reliable logistics partner supporting QatarEnergy LNG’s critical operations.
The celebration was attended by senior executives from both companies, including Fahad Mohammed Al-Khater, CEO of Marine Operations, Terminals, and Refineries at QatarEnergy LNG, and Fahad Saad Al-Qahtani, CEO of Milaha Group.
In his speech, Fahad Mohammed Al-Khater congratulated the teams on this remarkable achievement and expressed his appreciation for the dedication and teamwork demonstrated by both QatarEnergy LNG and Milaha. He emphasized that safety must always remain a top priority to ensure that every team member returns home safely.
Fahad Saad Al-Qahtani, CEO of Milaha Group, praised the strong collaboration between Milaha and QatarEnergy LNG, stating that this milestone is a testament to the robust partnership and shared commitment to safety between the two companies. He added that safety is not just a priority at Milaha but a core value embedded in all aspects of the company’s operations and decision-making. He affirmed that this achievement strengthens client confidence in Milaha as a safety-focused partner and expressed his belief that through continued cooperation and learning, even greater milestones will be reached in the future.
One of the key moments of the celebration was the symbolic placement of the "Qatra 2024" emblem by the CEOs of QatarEnergy LNG’s Marine Operations and Milaha Group, representing their shared commitment to safety and operational excellence. The event concluded with QatarEnergy LNG presenting a commemorative shield to Milaha, received by Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Derbesti, Deputy CEO of Marine Operations at Milaha, in recognition of Milaha’s valuable contributions to safe operations.
