Real Estate Trading Volume Reaches Over 351 Million QAR in Late January
The total real estate trading volume recorded in sales contracts at the Real Estate Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice between January 26 and 30 amounted to 351,885,640 QAR. Meanwhile, the total sales contracts for residential units during the same period reached 76,419,927 QAR.
The weekly report issued by the Real Estate Registration Department indicated that the traded properties included vacant land, residential houses, residential buildings, mixed-use commercial-residential buildings, commercial shops, and residential-commercial complexes.
Real estate transactions were concentrated in the municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Daayen, Al Wakrah, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakira, and Al Shamal, as well as in The Pearl Island, Dafna 60, Lusail 69, Ghar Thuaileb, Leqtaifiya, and Umm Abiriyah.
Quarterly and Annual Trends
From January 19 to 23, the total trading volume exceeded 540 million QAR. Meanwhile, Qatar recorded real estate transactions worth 3.702 billion QAR in the last three months of 2024, compared to 4.312 billion QAR in the same period of 2023.
Doha recorded the highest real estate transaction value in Q4 2024 at 1.56 billion QAR, while Al Sheehaniya had the lowest transaction value at just 162,500 QAR. The highest number of real estate transactions was in Doha, with 324 deals, while Al Sheehaniya recorded only one transaction.
Top 10 Most Expensive Properties in Q4 2024
Among the top 10 most expensive properties in Qatar during Q4 2024:
Five were in Doha
Two in Al Daayen
One each in Al Rayyan, Umm Salal, and Al Wakrah
Mortgage Transactions & Residential Units
The total mortgage transactions in Q4 2024 amounted to 332 transactions worth 24.95 billion QAR.
Al Rayyan recorded the highest number of mortgage deals (105 transactions), followed by Doha (103) and Al Daayen (51)
However, residential unit transactions declined in Q4 2024.
Only 266 residential unit sales were recorded (totaling 512.89 million QAR), compared to 384 transactions (1.5 billion QAR) in Q4 2023
