The Ministry of Transport: Hamad Port operates 24/7 without interruption
Continuous operations and priority for essential goods strengthen supply chain stability despite challenges.

The Ministry of Transport announced the continuation of efforts to enhance the efficiency of the maritime transport sector and ensure the continuity of supply chains by improving operational procedures and increasing port readiness, supporting sustainability and strengthening Qatar’s logistics system.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the ministry confirmed that operations are continuing without interruption, with Hamad Port operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Port gates remain open to ensure the smooth flow of essential goods.

Priority is being given to handling food shipments and critical cargo, while customs inspection services are operating around the clock in coordination with relevant authorities. Refrigerated containers are also being continuously monitored to ensure the safety of sensitive shipments.

As part of risk management and regional coordination efforts, alternative ports and routes have been identified to maintain supply chain continuity. Dedicated facilities have also been made available to support imports and land transport through Abu Samra border crossing.

Additionally, operational closure periods during holidays have been reduced to ensure the uninterrupted movement of goods.
