Change of "Qatar Electricity and Water" name effective as of today
The name change to “Nebras Energy” represents a strategic step reflecting the company’s move toward a new phase of growth and a stronger presence in the energy sector.
Qatar Stock Exchange announced that Qatar Electricity and Water Company will officially change its name to Nebras Energy, effective Wednesday, January 28, 2026. According to the statement, the company’s trading symbol (QEWS) will remain unchanged.
The announcement comes as the company reported a decline in profits during the first nine months of last year, recording QAR 1.02 billion, compared to QAR 1.19 billion during the same period in 2024.
