Doha receives 32 new LNG carriers
QatarEnergy moves steadily forward in expanding its LNG carrier fleet to support the largest production expansion in its history.

QatarEnergy LNG announced the delivery of 32 new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, representing 25% of the total expansion fleet of 128 vessels, as part of QatarEnergy’s historic program to develop and expand its LNG carrier fleet. This expansion aligns with the North Field Development Project, which aims to increase LNG production capacity from the current 77 million tons per year to 110 million tons annually by the third quarter of 2026, and further to 142 million tons per year by 2030.
