Dubai Design Week reinforces its position as a global platform for creative dialogue and an open lab for artistic and social innovation.

The 11th edition of Dubai Design Week 2025 kicked off today at Dubai Design District (d3), featuring more than 1,000 designers, architects, and creatives from over 50 countries. The event is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District and supported by Dubai Culture.

This year’s program showcases over 30 large-scale installations and key exhibitions, including Downtown Design — the region’s leading contemporary design fair — Editions Art & Design for limited-edition works, and the UAE Designers Exhibition, which returns with an expanded vision to enhance mentorship and international visibility for local talent. The event also features more than 50 workshops and training sessions involving creative and cultural institutions from around the world.

Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of TECOM Group – Dubai Design District, emphasized that the week reflects the strong momentum in Dubai’s creative and design sectors. She highlighted that the strategic partnership with Dubai Design Week reinforces Dubai’s position as a global hub for culture and creativity, aligned with the Design Sector Strategy 2033.

Natasha Carella, Director of Dubai Design Week, stated that this year’s edition focuses on culturally rooted and human-centered design approaches, exploring how design acts as a social and cultural force that connects people and reshapes how we live together.

The event features prominent global names such as Marcel Wanders, Tom Dixon, and Lee Broom, alongside leading regional creatives from the UAE and the Arab world. The Abwab 2025 exhibition presents Sea Edge Tales by Studio Marj from Bahrain, while Shape of Work Studio from the UAE won the Civil Works Award.

With this dynamic program, Dubai Design Week continues to establish itself as a global platform for creative dialogue and an open laboratory for artistic experimentation and social innovation.
