Doha Gears Up to Host Inaugural MWC25 Edition This November

Qatar is intensifying preparations to host the first-ever Mobile World Congress (MWC25 – Doha), organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in partnership with the GSMA. The highly anticipated event will take place on November 25–26, 2025, bringing together global industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators with a special focus on advancing digital societies across the Middle East and beyond.

The event combines a world-class exhibition with thought leadership forums, startup showcases, and policymaker engagement — creating a dynamic platform for partnerships, innovation, and business development.

His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali Al-Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, emphasized that MWC25 aligns with Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 and the Qatar National Vision 2030. He highlighted the event as a strategic milestone in positioning Qatar as a regional digital hub, investing in future-ready infrastructure and fostering international collaboration to accelerate digital transformation and knowledge-based economic growth.

The conference, which Doha will host for the next five consecutive years, will feature an inspiring content program centered on Artificial Intelligence, Smart Economies, and Connected Industries, alongside high-level summits on topics such as Data Infrastructure, 5G Networks, Cybersecurity, Fintech, Smart Mobility, and the Internet of Things.

Mats Granryd, Director General of the GSMA, noted that Doha exemplifies the region’s leadership in shaping next-generation digital communities — from expanding 5G networks and developing smart cities to leveraging AI-powered data centers and sustainable tech investments — making it the ideal location for hosting MWC25 and a valuable opportunity for regional stakeholders and businesses.
