QatarEnergy LNG’s win of the “Best Qatarization Progress” Award reflects its ongoing commitment to developing and empowering Qatari talent, while creating broader opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

QatarEnergy LNG has received the 2025 Qatarization Award in the “Best Qatarization Progress” category, in recognition of its continued efforts to attract, develop, and empower Qatari talent while supporting their professional growth.

The award was announced during the annual review meeting on Qatarization efforts in the energy sector, held recently at QatarEnergy’s headquarters in Doha. The meeting was held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Managing Director and CEO of QatarEnergy, and brought together senior executives from companies and institutions across the sector.

The annual Qatarization Awards recognize companies that demonstrate outstanding performance and sustained commitment to implementing effective, long-term Qatarization strategies and integrating them into their operations and corporate activities. They represent one of the highest forms of recognition for Qatarization achievements across the energy and industrial sectors in Qatar.

This latest achievement adds to the company’s track record of supporting and developing national talent. Previous recognitions include the Certificate of Support and Coordination with the Education Sector in 2018; the Training and Development Support Award in 2019 and 2020; the Best Qatarization Progress Award in 2021; the Qatarization Support Award in 2022; and the Learning and Development Support Certificate in 2023.

The 2025 award reflects several key initiatives implemented by the company as part of its five-year strategic plan to attract and develop Qatari talent. These initiatives included strengthening engagement with young Qataris through targeted recruitment and awareness programmes, supporting recruitment channels and building a sustainable pipeline of national talent.

The company also placed strong emphasis on employee development through mentoring, guidance, and systematic monitoring of participants’ progress in development programmes. In addition, it continued to apply competency frameworks across all job roles, provide specialized training pathways, and create clear opportunities for career advancement and progression into leadership positions.

These initiatives reaffirm the company’s commitment to increasing the participation of Qatari nationals, empowering local talent, and fostering a workplace that supports professional development and long-term sustainability in the energy sector.
