Qatar Awards QAR 36.7 Million Contract to Update Integrated Drainage Master Plan

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has awarded a contract for Pre-Contract Professional Consultancy Services for the Strategic Qatar Integrated Drainage Master Plan Update 2026, with the award dated 17 September 2026.

The contract is valued at QAR 36.725 million and was awarded to Stantec UK Limited, which submitted the winning bid of QAR 36,725,300 following a discounted offer.

The project is identified as PA 2025 D 005 S, while the tender carries reference number PWA/STC/055/2025.

Stantec UK Limited ranked first after the application of local value criteria, recording a 63.43% local value. Meanwhile, the bid submitted by CDM Smith INC, despite recording a 90.16% local value, was classified as outside the applicable ICV boundary.

The project forms part of Qatar’s efforts to develop and modernize its drainage infrastructure and strengthen strategic infrastructure planning to meet future requirements.
