A Living Model of Sustainable Smart Cities
Msheireb Downtown Doha is a fully integrated, walkable city that blends Qatari heritage with advanced technology and sustainable design, making it the first project of its kind globally to revive a city center through environmentally conscious development.
Msheireb Museums reflect this innovative spirit by transforming heritage houses into interactive spaces where history is brought to life through digital platforms, immersive storytelling, and oral history archives—creating engaging educational and cultural experiences.
The district is also a pioneering model of smart and sustainable urban living, featuring advanced mobility solutions, a district cooling system, energy-efficient buildings, and smart infrastructure. Complementary initiatives such as the Liquid3 project with Qatar Academy Msheireb and the green rooftops program further highlight the integration of technology, sustainability, and community engagement.
