Ministry of Transport Resumes Morning Marine Activities, Evening Suspension to Continue

The Ministry of Transport has announced the resumption of morning marine navigation activities, while maintaining the suspension of evening operations for leisure, tourism, and fishing vessels, as part of its commitment to ensuring maritime safety.

In a statement on its official account on X (formerly Twitter), the ministry explained that the decision comes due to the ongoing technical malfunction in the Global Positioning System (GPS), which may affect the accuracy of navigation devices and the safety of maritime travel.

The ministry urged all boat owners and sea-goers to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Return to shore before sunset.
  • Do not sail beyond 12 nautical miles.

It emphasized that the directive is issued to protect public safety and ensure the secure return of all sea-goers to their ports, urging strict compliance with these measures until further notice.
