Kahramaa Launches 2025 Annual Planning Forum Under the Theme “Innovation and Excellence for Global Leadership”

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) held its 2025 Annual Planning Forum on May 18–19 under the theme “Innovation and Excellence for Global Leadership.” The forum was attended by H.E. Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, and H.E. Eng. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Deyab, President of Kahramaa, alongside senior officials and department heads.

This year’s forum focused on reviewing Kahramaa’s five-year strategic plan in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to corporate excellence and sustainable quality.

In his opening remarks, H.E. Minister Al-Kaabi highlighted the importance of adopting international best practices in management and innovation, praising Kahramaa’s efforts in enhancing electricity and water production efficiency and reducing losses—efforts that contribute to strengthening Qatar’s economy.

H.E. Al-Deyab emphasized the central role of institutional excellence in Kahramaa’s vision, underlining the ongoing implementation of the European Excellence Model and Qatar’s Government Excellence Model.

The forum included in-depth sessions dedicated to reviewing plans across Kahramaa’s various sectors—including electricity, water, technical affairs, and support services—with the goal of improving strategic integration and operational efficiency.

The forum serves as a cornerstone of Kahramaa’s annual planning cycle, fostering ambitious strategies that enhance innovation and ensure sustainable service delivery.
