Al Asmakh Report: Citizen Land Development Projects Drive Real Estate Sector Growth

A report issued by Al Asmakh Real Estate Projects Company stated that the state continues to implement development projects for regions and citizens' land plots, with financial allocations estimated at QAR 35 billion to serve 33,413 plots across 32 areas throughout the country.

The report explained that the relevant authorities have made significant progress in executing infrastructure works for thousands of residential plots in 12 areas, with basic services already provided to 7,833 plots. These are part of projects expected to serve a total of 18,870 plots upon completion.

Specifically, the report noted that 1,015 plots were serviced in western areas, particularly in East Al Wajba (Al Ma’arad project) and southwest Al Mu’aither. In southern areas, 1,248 plots were prepared in locations such as South Al Mashaf, West Al Wakrah, and West Al Mashaf. Meanwhile, services covered 5,570 plots in northern areas, including Al Ab, Laabib, Al Kharaitiyat, Izghawa, North and East Al Kheesa, Al Khor, West Simaisma, West Umm Salal Ali, Umm Al Abeeriyah, South Umm Al Amad, North Bu Fesseela, and Umm Salal Mohammed.

The report confirmed that these projects are expected to significantly revitalize the real estate sector by stimulating construction activity and increasing demand for land in the targeted areas, thereby strengthening the investment environment in the country.

The report also highlighted the state’s continued efforts in implementing road development projects, including the conversion of several roundabouts into intersections with traffic signals, which would enhance infrastructure and improve mobility in the new residential areas.

Additionally, the report pointed out that these initiatives will directly support contracting companies and positively impact sectors related to construction, such as building materials, steel, and cement. Real estate development companies are also expected to benefit from the anticipated market movement, particularly with the implementation of several public, healthcare, and educational projects throughout the year.
