Qatar’s Construction Sector Expected to Reach QAR 158 Billion by 2029
A recent report by ResearchAndMarkets, one of the world’s leading market research firms, indicates that Qatar’s construction sector is on an upward trajectory, with its value expected to grow from QAR 127.88 billion in 2024 to approximately QAR 158.05 billion by the end of 2029.
According to the Qatar Construction Industry Data Book Series – Market Size & Forecast by Value and Volume, Q1 2025, the sector recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.5% between 2020 and 2024. This growth is projected to accelerate to a CAGR of 3.3% between 2025 and 2029.

Real Estate Market: QAR 1.27 Billion in Transactions Recorded in March
In parallel, data from the Real Estate Analytical Bulletin issued by the Ministry of Justice revealed that real estate sale transactions in Qatar amounted to QAR 1.27 billion in March 2025, slightly down from QAR 1.29 billion in February. A total of 283 property deals were recorded during the month, with a 14% increase in traded land area.
The municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan, and Umm Salal topped the list in terms of transaction value, followed by Al Daayen, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, and Al Khor & Al Thakhira.
Doha recorded the highest transaction value at QAR 549 million, followed by Al Rayyan with QAR 281.1 million and Umm Salal with QAR 145.4 million. Transactions in Al Daayen amounted to QAR 106.2 million, Al Shamal QAR 103.5 million, Al Wakrah QAR 58.9 million, and Al Khor & Al Thakhira QAR 32.6 million.
