The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced several temporary road closures this week, affecting three major intersections, as part of its ongoing maintenance work.

In an official statement on its X platform account, Ashghal stated that there will be a partial temporary closure of the East Interchange Tunnel for motorists coming from Corniche Street (Street 210). This closure will be in effect from 3:00 AM to 10:00 AM, starting Thursday, March 20, until Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Additionally, Ashghal announced a full temporary closure of Al Majd Road for vehicles coming from Dukhan Road towards Salwa Road (Mesaieed Interchange). This closure will take place from 2:00 AM on Thursday, March 20, until 6:00 AM on Sunday, March 23, 2025, to carry out routine road maintenance.

Furthermore, there will be a temporary closure of a section of the service road on Al Tarfa Street towards Wadi Al Hashemiya Street, starting from Tuesday, March 18, until Sunday, March 30, 2025, to complete road improvement works.

Ashghal urged all road users to use alternative routes such as Wadi Al Qaiya Street and Shariya Street to reach their destinations. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to completing these projects within the planned timeframe to enhance road quality and ensure traffic safety.
