Hosts Qatar Investment and Innovation Conference 2025: Investing in Future Horizons
Msheireb Properties, the

The event, held at Barahat Msheireb in Msheireb Downtown Doha, brought together prominent leaders and decision-makers from across the GCC to discuss regional economic growth, innovation, and sustainable development.
The conference bega
with a preliminary workshop at HEC Paris in Qatar, focusing on sustainable innovation and leadership challenges in a rapidly evolving world. During the opening session, Dr. Hafiz Ali Abdullah, Executive Director of Corporate Communications at Msheireb Properties, emphasized the importance of fostering a proactive culture to address institutional challenges and drive sustainable innovation.
The main conference
kicked off with a welcoming address by Eng. Ali Al-Kuwari, CEO of Msheireb Properties, highlighting the significance of sustainable urban development and innovation in shaping the region's future. Al-Kuwari stated:

Dr. Khalid bin Khalifeh Al-Hajri, Board Member of Qatar Chamber, highlighted the private sector's role in driving innovation and sustainable development across the region.
During the panel discussion on “The
Future of Economic Zones – Innovation and Opportunities,” industry leaders shed light on the evolution of free zones in the GCC. H.E. Mohammed Jumaa Al Musharrkh, CEO of Sharjah FDI Office, noted:
"It’s no longer just about
real estate; it’s about an integrated ecosystem. The entire region is witnessing remarkable growth."
Badr Al-Madhadi from
the Qatar Free Zones Authority echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the alignment of free zones with the region’s vision for economic diversification, digital transformation, and sustainability.
Discussions also
highlighted the strategic advantages of the Gulf region. Ali Shehab, Global Director of Projects and Specialized Services at DNV, underscored the region’s unique position as a bridge between East and West. Hamid Ahli, Executive Director of Meydan Free Zone, shared impressive statistics, stating:
"More than 95% of our
investors are foreign direct investors, representing over 180 nationalities."
These discussions
