MEED Magazine Reveals $60 Billion in Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution Contracts in MENA by October 2024

MEED magazine reported that contracts awarded in the power generation, transmission, and distribution sectors across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region reached approximately $60 billion during the first 10 months of 2024, spanning January to the end of October. This marks a significant 47.5% increase compared to the total contracts awarded in the sector across the region for the entire year of 2023.

The magazine highlighted that contract awards in the energy sector in the MENA region witnessed substantial acceleration during this period, with Gulf countries taking the lead. These countries spearheaded the momentum through major power generation project awards. The flow of energy projects at various stages remains robust across the MENA region.
