In 1961, Amin Wehbe, an Electronics Engineer, started importing Sylvania lamps to Lebanon. Three years later, he joined GTE Sylvania as a Regional Sales Engineer for the Middle East and Africa. Finally, in 1977, he decided to start his own lighting business, and, thus, Lumatron was born. By 1999, the company had grown into a regional lighting player and is now providing central battery systems and turnkey theatre solutions.
