Qatar Navigation Milaha, the leading provider of maritime and logistics solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Doha University for Science and Technology (DUST), Qatar’s first national applied university, to strengthen cooperation in education, research, and talent development within the maritime and logistics sectors.

The MoU was signed at the university’s campus in Doha by Fahad bin Saad Al-Qahtani, CEO of Milaha Group, and H.E. Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al-Naimi, President of DUST. The agreement aims to align academic programs with industry needs, develop training programs and specialized certifications, and provide internship and employment opportunities for students. It also includes collaboration in research and innovation areas such as maritime sustainability, digitalization, automation, and decarbonization.

Under the MoU, Milaha will contribute its industrial expertise by participating in advisory committees, academic programs, and by offering lectures and workshops. Meanwhile, Milaha’s employees will benefit from the university’s Marine Training Center, professional development programs, and internationally accredited certifications.

Mr. Fahad bin Saad Al-Qahtani emphasized Milaha’s commitment to supporting and developing national talent in the maritime and logistics sectors, noting that this partnership aligns with the shared vision of both entities to promote applied education, innovation, and build skilled professionals capable of shaping the future of the industry.

For his part, H.E. Dr. Salem bin Nasser Al-Naimi stated that the cooperation with Milaha reflects the university’s dedication to aligning education with industry requirements. He added that integrating practical expertise into academic programs equips students with the essential applied skills needed to excel in maritime transport and logistics in Qatar.

By signing this MoU, Milaha and DUST reaffirm their commitment to supporting Qatar National Vision 2030 through talent development, fostering research and innovation, and promoting sustainable growth in the maritime and logistics sectors.
